Sign up now for our special interview with Dr. Ari Tuckman, psychologist, ADHD specialist, author and the top-ranking ADHD podcast on iTunes with over 500,000 downloads and book of the same name, “More Attention, Less Deficit: Success Strategies for Adults with ADHD.”
We’ll be talking with Dr. Tuckman about his latest, just released book, “Understand Your Brain, Get More Done: The ADHD Executive Functions Workbook” and the book’s very interesting topic of the brain’s executive functions.
For those of you interested in how and why your brain works the way it does to trip up even your best laid plans, this will be a “do not miss” interview.
Dr. Tuckman defines executive function as some of our highest level brain processes, the things we do to control our own behavior, to hold information in mind as we move from one task to another, to pause and apply our wisdom, etc. All of this everyone can do in theory, but the challenge for those of us with ADHD is in actually doing it — and executive functions allow us to apply what we already know.
In other words, we already know what we should be doing — we’re smart and capable. The executive function impairment is what interferes with us actually doing it.
Fascinating stuff. That’s why we’re so excited to welcome Dr. Tuckman to our call series.
Make sure you come to the call live so you can ask questions live, on the phone or via the webcast.
