Can I Help?

Well, let’s talk and find out if I can help — if we’re a good fit for each other.

Here’s what I think: Too often, people build businesses like a job, and soon it becomes that — just a job, but one with more responsibility and pressure than they’ve ever had before.

I’m guessing you started your business because you have a passion for something, or you have a specialized skill, and you want to be able to make a living doing that — because it makes your heart sing. (Or you’re running from a job you hate, which is okay, just make sure you’re running to something you love.)

But then, a little way down the road, you realized you were running a business. And everything that comes along with it. So you might not have as much time for the heart singing thing anymore, because you’re caught up in trying to bring in business and keeping your books and chasing down payments and directing team members and all the “busy-ness” — so much so that you begin to wonder why you ever started the dang thing in the first place.

You may even be very successful at all of those things, and your business may be growing really fast, but you still can’t seem to find the calm in the storm, because, after all, everything does depend on you. Your name is on the door.

You may be saying things like:

  • “I need to get more control of this business. It’s taken me over.”
  • “I’m stuck because everything ends up on my desk. I can’t get to the things I need/want to do.”
  • “There are so many balls I need to juggle and decisions that need to be made by me — how can I ever find time to get to the big ideas and grow the business?”
  • “I know I need help but I don’t know what kind or how to get it.”
  • “My team isn’t working out for me. Just when I get someone trained, they leave to go work for someone else.”
  • “I’ve got prima donnas/job hoarding/cliques/bad apples in my team and I don’t know what to do about it.”
  • “I’ve got a great start in my business, I just don’t know how to keep it up and make it grow.”

I can help. Together, we’ll work on:

  • creating a crystal-clear vision for your ultimate business success and the perfect lifestyle you’d like your business to provide
  • uncovering hidden challenges that may be sabotaging the growth of your business and keeping you working too many hours
  • making sure your business model works to support the vision you have for your business and that you can actually get there from here
  • putting together the perfect plan for you, so you’ll know what to do next week, next month, and 3 months from now to stay out of the weeds and keep your business on track
  • getting you to the point of being renewed, re-energized, and inspired to turn your business into a highly profitable, revenue-generating machine that practically runs itself

I guide you, close and personal, through the process of building a leadership mindset (the core of it all), creating and promoting your platform (is it clear how you help people?), getting the correct support (you’re out there fighting dragons, you need support!), managing your team (so they’re happy & productive), communicating effectively (internally & externally), and developing systems (so things you do repeatedly can be put on autopilot) — all with the purpose of getting work off your desk so you can get back to what you love doing, while making more money.

“You had something very special that did a lot in attracting my business . . . you had conveyed a message (rather subliminimally, I suppose) that you did ‘woman-speak’, weren’t high-pressure, and might be ‘unbothered’ by the itsy-bitsy-ness of my business.” — Sharon Turnbull, The Goddess Gift

“I was not looking for a person to resolve any specific issue. I gravitated toward you because of the content you provided over the years. It is your content that is valuable and the introduction or lead-in to you and your services. It was through the constant relationship building of the materials that made me call on you.” — Christine Jowdy-Milot, Milot Marketing and Design

“You’re not like a lot of consultants out there, Marcia, who know a lot theoretically, but they haven’t necessarily done the very thing that they’re consulting with — you’ve already walked the walk. And it means a lot to me that you’ve had this experience. So much of what you teach and coach around has to do with your experience and your own success, and your own mistakes and you’re so generous about sharing all of this, and the benefit of it.

“You listen way beyond even what my level of knowledge was about the business that I’ve been doing for the last 10 years, and you offer solutions when I wouldn’t have even known there was a problem, and that’s been invaluable to me.

I really needed the — in a way it is — hand holding, but it’s a very specific support around some very basic things that has helped me to expand and to imagine stepping into a much bigger role.” Barbara McCollough, Surrogacy Success

t is your content that is valuable and the introduction or lead-in to you and your services.
I was not looking for a person to resolve any specific issue or even a company. I was researching and self learning. It was through the constant relationship building of the materials that made me call on you.

Call or email me to share your own business struggles. I’ll set you up for a no-cost 30-minute strategy session, so we can talk. It’s the only way to find out if I can help.

Do it, you’ll get a lot out of it — promise.
